A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, energetic, empathetic and self-motivated person to join a Youth Contract team as a Learner Support Worker on a group and 1:1 basis to post-16 learners. You will be joining a dynamic team to work across two centres in Gloucester in our Study Programme Post-16 provision.

We are seeking to add to our current compliment of dedicated Learner Support Workers. Empathy with young people is a must as is a passion to support the learners to meet their full potential. This role involves working with learners with learning difficulties; and with basic skills needs and helping them to achieve their learning goals. A Learner Support Worker provides support to assigned learners through acting as a scribe, guide, communicator or reader and providing specific 1:1 support.

The learner’s needs are varied, and we are looking for someone who can support with the following: • Dyslexia • Dyspraxia • Autism • ADHD • Mental Health and well-being • Social & emotional difficulties

Qualifications:

Essential • Hold a minimum of Level 2 qualification (GCSE) in English and Mathematics. • A driving licence and use of a car

Desirable • Hold a Coaching /Mentoring /Teaching or Youth Work qualification. • SEN related qualifications
