Year 1 Teacher – Full Time (Summer Term)

We are recruiting a full-time Year 1 Teacher to work at a welcoming primary school in North Bristol for the Summer Term.

This role runs from Monday 20th April to Friday 17th July and includes full planning and preparation responsibilities. The successful candidate will take full class responsibility and work as part of a supportive school team.

Role Details

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Support pupils’ transition within Key Stage 1
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
• Attend staff meetings and carry out professional duties as required

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
• Be confident managing full classroom responsibilities
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Be organised, reliable, and professional
• Be committed to inclusive practice
